1. Porcelain Veneers – Aftercare Instructions

Immediately After Placement

  • Avoid biting into hard foods for the first 48 hours (e.g., nuts, ice, bones).
  • Mild sensitivity to temperature is normal and will settle.
  • Avoid very hot or very cold drinks on the same day.

Ongoing Care

  • Brush twice daily with a soft-bristle brush.
  • Avoid abrasive whitening toothpaste.
  • Floss daily — gently around the veneers.
  • Avoid chewing pens, fingernails, or opening packets with teeth.
  • Wear a night guard if recommended (for grinding/clenching).

Food Guidance

  • Eat normally after 24–48 hours.
  • Avoid biting directly into very hard items (ice, seed crusts).
  • Cut harder fruits (apples, guava) into pieces rather than biting directly.

Staining Prevention

If You Skip a Day

  • Continue the last completed aligner for one extra day.

After the Procedure
